BrandMozart has created a sound universe based on the ambient sounds of one of Italy's most famous mills. A universe of melodies and suspended harmonies, a musical journey that transports the listener on a sonic journey to discover the world of Molino Pasini.

THE BRIEF

Four generations, 100 years of history, the art of flour imprinted in the DNA. Molino Pasini is a milling company specializing in the production of high-quality wheat flours, dedicated both to the end consumer (artisans, wholesalers and retailers) and to those involved in their processing, such as the food industry. If quality is not discounted on production, art and the search for a different and unusual way forward face the company's communication sector: the need to create a sound identity for the company certainly is unique in the current panorama of milling companies, and the family claim, "The Art of Flour," builds the basis of Molino Pasini's new sound identity.

BrandMozart has created a sound universe based on the ambient sounds of one of Italy's most famous mills. A universe of melodies and suspended harmonies, a musical journey that transports the listener on a sonic journey to discover the world of Molino Pasini. The result is surprising, bringing back the ancient and contemporary noises of flour, its strength and its uniqueness and authenticity. An undiscovered sound generated by field recording sampling of some of the typical milling processes. From the plansichter to the manual sieve going from the arrival of grain to its passage through the transfer pipes.

The sound signature

The sound logo is a key element of a company's or brand's communication, as it allows it to create an emotional connection with the audience and convey the brand's values and personality. To create the sound logo for Molino Pasini, we followed a creative process based on the combination of real sounds and synthetic sounds, which complement each other to create a warm, elegant and intangible atmosphere. The sound logo consists of four main elements, appropriately superimposed. Molino Pasini's sound logo is the sound of flour becoming art. It is the sound of nature being transformed into innovation. It is the sound of passion expressed in elegance. It is the signature sound that closes an impeccable work.

The corporate theme is a 2:03-minute piece of music that represents the sound identity of the Molino Pasini brand. It is part of corporate sound branding along with the sound logo and other sound elements such as soundscapes. Shorter versions of the song were created, including "The Sound of Flour." This electronic piece uses the misolid scale to create an intangible feeling of suspension, telling the story and values of the brand through a combination of electronic, acoustic, and concrete sounds. It is an aural journey uncovering the world of Molino Pasini.
